Yard Operative 

Salary: £30,771 per annum

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 5:30pm (30 minutes unpaid break)

Location: Thamesmead, SE28

What will you be doing?

• Manage traffic flows in the yard

• Monitor pedestrian movement and ensure that site users utilize designated walkways

• Controlling site capacity

• Directing site access

• Enforcing site rules

• Quality control of waste Material coming into the depot 

• Take assertive action to stop unsafe activities.

• Ensure Veolia’s VMR policies are adhered to

What are we looking for?

Essential:

• Basic understanding of Health & Safety

• Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial

• Experience of Waste management and quality control 

• Ability to work well as part of a team
