The incumbent serves as a program expert and collaborates with American Job Centers (AJCs), JAG-LA Specialists, educators, employers, and workforce partners to support student success, workforce readiness, and positive post-graduate outcomes. This role provides engaging classroom and work-based learning experiences that strengthen students’ leadership, employability, and life skills while promoting high school graduation and career advancement opportunities.</p><p style="margin: 0 0 0.0001pt"><br></p><p style="margin: 0 0 0.0001pt">The <strong><em>Office of Workforce Development (OWD) </em></strong>is a key division of Louisiana Works managing programs in workforce training, job placement, apprenticeships, and business engagement. Through collaboration with local boards, educational institutions, and industry partners, OWD aims to improve economic mobility for job seekers and ensure Louisiana employers have the skilled talent they need, contributing to the state’s economic growth.</p><div><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Six years of experience in workforce development, administrative services, or social services; OR</span><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of experience in workforce development, administrative services, or social services; OR</span><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in workforce development, administrative services, or social services; OR</span><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">A master's degree plus two years of experience in workforce development, administrative services, or social services.</span><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:</span><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field.
