Job description

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified Western-Trained Consultant Hematologist to join its specialist medical team. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnosis and management of a wide range of hematological disorders, including malignant and non-malignant blood conditions, within a multidisciplinary, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage complex hematological disorders, including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, anemia, coagulation disorders, and bone marrow disorders.
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient hematology consultations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with oncology, pathology, radiology, and other multidisciplinary teams.
  • Perform and interpret hematological investigations, including bone marrow evaluations and specialized laboratory assessments.
  • Manage hematological emergencies and complications related to treatment.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical case discussions.
  • Provide evidence-based care in accordance with international clinical guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with patient safety standards.
  • Participate in clinical research, audits, teaching, and continuing medical education.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD/MBBS or equivalent).

Completion of specialist training in Hematology.

Western-recognized specialist qualification (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or equivalent).

Examples include:

  • UK CCT in Hematology
  • American Board Certification in Hematology
  • FRACP (Clinical Haematology)
  • Equivalent recognized qualifications.

Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialty Consultant experience preferred.

Strong expertise in managing complex hematological conditions.

Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
