Job description

Aureol Global Connections is looking to hire 2 experienced Welding Inspectors to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will oversee and ensure the quality of welding operations by inspecting welds, reviewing welding procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your attention to detail and expertise in welding will greatly contribute to maintaining the highest quality in our projects. Responsibilities

  • Inspect welds on piping and structural components to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Review and verify welding procedures to ensure they meet applicable codes and specifications.
  • Conduct tests and assessments on welds, including visual inspections and non-destructive testing methods.
  • Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports regarding weld quality and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with welding teams to address any quality concerns and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance on welding standards and inspection practices to team members.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in welding inspection technology.
  • Participate in quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., CWI or equivalent) is required.
  • Proven experience as a Welding Inspector, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and codes (e.g., ASME, AWS).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills for working collaboratively with teams and reporting findings clearly.
  • Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods and quality assurance practices is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as necessary for inspections.
