Apply to this jobThe Water System Owner is responsible for the overall operation, reliability, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the site's RODI (Reverse Osmosis Deionized Water) and Wastewater Treatment Systems. This role will lead a team of technicians and work closely with manufacturing, facilities, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure uninterrupted supply of high-quality water and effective wastewater treatment in support of production operations.
What You Need To Do
- Lead and manage a team of technicians responsible for RODI and Wastewater Treatment Systems.
- Ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of water treatment systems and related equipment.
- Manage system capacity, upgrades, and improvements to support manufacturing requirements.
- Drive reliability, safety, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure water quality and operational efficiency.
- Establish and maintain SOPs, maintenance standards, and monitoring practices.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities.
- Manage SCADA monitoring systems for RODI and WWTP operations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, government authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage water treatment-related projects and major shutdown activities.
- Provide emergency and after-hours support when required.
What You Need To Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Science Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Utilities, or Facilities Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of RODI, Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ion Exchange (IX/DI), and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations.
- Experience in water treatment system design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Experience with PLC, SCADA, and automation control systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- CePIETSO-PCP and/or CePSWaM certification will be an added advantage.
