Responsibilities

What is expected in this job?

  • Reporting to the Warehouse Manager the operative will partake in all aspects of the warehouse operation, with health & safety, communication, accuracy and efficiency of the operation being a priority.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and dispatching items in a timely manner.
  • Support the maintenance and organisation of the storage areas.
  • Assist the Stock Controller in maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Participate in scheduled and ad‑hoc stocktakes as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Wear all required PPE in accordance with Kepak guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with the Coldstore team to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Provide flexibility regarding working hours to meet business needs.
  • Working in a cold environment
  • Use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) as part of daily duties.
  • Use Workstations and Scanners for Picking Orders as part of daily duties, training provided.
  • Loading and Unloading of Containers using Forklift.
  • Putting away pallets delivered into racks using forklift.
  • Picking orders with the use of forklift.

Requirements

What we need from you?

  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated with a proactive, safety‑focused mindset.
  • Dependable, with excellent timekeeping and reliability.
  • Able to work independently using their own initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Efficient and able to perform manual tasks as required.
  • Willing to learn, develop new skills, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Strong time‑management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in order picking within a warehouse environment is an advantage.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
  • Must have previous and recent forklift driving experience working inside a warehouse.
