Warehouse Lead

Objective

At Silvercote, the Warehouse Lead is given an opportunity to grow as a leader within our Warehouse department. You would be responsible for assistance with the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse, with emphasis on relaying daily assigned tasks/projects to the warehouse personnel. This role is key to the success of our business as it directly affects our customers’ satisfaction by ensuring 100% accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists with daily supervision of warehouse personnel to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse
  • Using excellent customer service skills; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees and customers
  • Receive supply work orders, requisitions, and purchase orders through Warehouse Management System
  • Fill supply work orders, requisitions, and PO’s, including checking shelves for items, retrieving the items, asking for proper work order account number, entry of requisitions received and log items out of the warehouse inventory, and loading
  • Receive ordered items from suppliers and inspects to assure quantity and quality of item received agrees with order specifications, input stock items into computer and storing items in the assigned location in or around the warehouse
  • Monitor and or perform cycle count process
  • Enforce Safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
  • Operate industrial powered equipment when necessary

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED minimum
  • 5 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge with full Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritize
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

This position requires lifting and loading product ranging from 20-45 pounds repeatedly during work hours; and pushing/pulling using from 40 - 150 pounds of force, occasionally. It also requires reaching, squatting and bending while delivering products. Unloads pallets of product from the delivery vehicle with an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck, and puts the product in a designated area.
