Job Description


The Vice President at United Overseas Bank Ltd will be responsible for leading and managing key strategic initiatives, driving business growth, and ensuring operational excellence within their designated department or function. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector and a proven track record of successful leadership.

Job Responsibilities**
* Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the bank's overall objectives, contributing to the achievement of financial targets and market positioning.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects or initiatives, from conceptualization and planning through to execution, monitoring, and successful completion.
* Manage and optimize departmental budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial controls.
* Identify and assess potential risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard the bank's assets and reputation.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and industry partners.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and challenges.
* Prepare and present regular reports and analyses to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant banking laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the financial services industry, managing large corporates.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
* Solid understanding of financial products, services, and market dynamics.
* Proficiency in relevant financial software and tools.
* A strong commitment to ethical conduct and regulatory compliance.
