Job description
  • Working with the Converged Technologies team in developing technology solutions interfacing with appropriate customers, management and technical resources.
  • Participates in the design, development, and implementation of large complex technology solutions supporting one or more business and/or technology areas.
  • Support the engineering requirements of Legacy/On-Prem enterprise applications and develop Cloud migration solutions in conjunction with infrastructure teams
  • Perform technical diagramming, configuration, scripting, testing, and integration activities as required for successful migrations
  • Document current state and target state potential architectures in support of migration
  • Documents environment logistics and settings for successful transition to the Operations Team
  • Attend meetings and working sessions to further migration objectives
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve to remediate issues prohibiting migration or uncovered by migration
  • Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures; contribute to and maintain system standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities.
  • Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
  • Knowledge of IP Networking, VPN's, DNS, Application Delivery Controller, and firewalling.
  • Advanced listening, speaking, and writing skills to participate in conversations
  • Follow best practices to adhere to enterprise architecture.
  • Expert knowledge of VMWare, UCS, Cloud and automation practices along with other major vendors of infrastructure technologies
  • In depth knowledge of public cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Cloud Foundry, Softlayer or other major vendors of public and Government cloud
  • Strong CLI and API scripting (Power Shell, Bash, Python) and automation skills (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet experience welcome)
  • Knowledge of corporate toolsets such as Service-Now a plus
  • Openstack or alternative automation/orchestration stacks (functional knowledge / working knowledge preferred)
  • Knowledge of Cloud-enabling product landscape (new vendors/technologies)

  • This position will be for a Infrastructure Engineer with expert knowledge of UCS/VMware/cloud technologies with expert automation practices to deliver to key projects.
