Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive FX advisory and client solutions
    • Partner with Private Bank RMs and Investment Advisors to identify FX opportunities within client portfolios
    • Deliver tailored advisory, hedging strategies and investment solutions aligned to advisory clients and DAC needs
  • Provide actionable market insights
    • Generate timely and relevant FX trade ideas based on UOB house views, macro trends and market developments
    • Conduct FX briefings, team huddles and regular updates to drive engagement and flow
  • Execute with precision and risk discipline
    • Ensure accurate and timely execution across FX products
    • Maintain strong attention to detail and a high level of risk awareness
  • Engage and influence stakeholders
    • Proactively support and influence RMs and Investment Advisors in embedding FX advisory into client conversations
  • Collaborate across platforms
    • Work closely with Global Markets and external counterparties to deliver competitive pricing and innovative solutions
  • Support business initiatives and analytics
    • Support ad hoc projects, including product rollout, process enhancements, UAT testing and platform improvements
    • Perform MIS reporting, data mining and analysis to identify business opportunities and improve FX penetration
    • Leverage data insights to support decision-making and business strategy
  • Ensure governance and compliance
    • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks

Additional Candidate Requirements

  • Proficiency in Chinese (spoken and written) preferred, to support client and stakeholder interactions
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to perform data analysis and derive insights
  • Familiarity with data tools or basic coding skills (e.g. Python, VBA) would be an advantage
  • CACS and FMRP certified
