Offshore Animal Hospital is now hiring a Full Time Veterinary Technician to join our AMAZING team!

The ideal candidate:

• Has at least one year of experience
• Has a strong veterinary skillset
• Works well on a team
• Possesses superior customer service skills
• Is outgoing and motivated

Job Overview:

Provide exceptional patient care and client service with a focus on hospitalized patients, including: advanced assessment, treatment, monitoring, sedation, anesthesia, surgical assistance, emergency response, and dental prophylaxes (when in practice scope).

Job Qualifications:

• Detail oriented

• Demonstrate professional and courteous behavior toward clients and other team members

• Prioritize multiple tasks and change focus in a fast-paced environment

• Think creatively and respond quickly and calmly to emergencies

• Be a self-starter and show initiative to grow and learn

• Efficiency for our veterinarians by relieving them of technical and administrative work

• Have a flexible schedule

• Willing to cross-train

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments

• Assisting doctors during exams

• Assisting other technicians during tech appointments

• Monitoring hospitalized pets

• Drawing blood for lab work

• Educating clients regarding veterinary care and procedures

• Provide outstanding customer service to clients and be the liaison between the doctors, treatment area staff and the front desk staff
