Location: 1900 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025

Salary: $ 34 - $ 39 / hour based on experience, knowledge, and skills

Schedule: 4 days, 10-hour days

We are seeking dedicated Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our Medical Oncology Department. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering top-tier veterinary care to our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to critically ill and injured animals.

  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding promptly to changes in condition.

  • Proficiency in chemotherapy agents and their administration

  • Proficiency in anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery,

  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.

  • Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.

  • Collaborating with other members of the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification is required.

  • 1-3 years of experience working as an oncology technician is preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency in performing nursing procedures, such as venipuncture, catheterization, chemo administration, and anesthesia monitoring.

  • Experience with chemotherapy agents.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to providing excellent patient care and client service.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
