Veterinary Technician - IM

We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant (VA) to join our Internal Medicine Team at VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists.

Location: 3021 Edinger Ave, Tustin, CA 92780

Schedule: 4 days, 10-hour shifts, late swing or overnight, Full-Time

Compensation: RVT $25 - $30 / hour or VA $ 20 - $ 28 / hour

We believe in high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care, and making that happen through dedication and learning. The position is for four, 10-hour shifts, 8:30 am-7 pm or 10 am-8:30 pm. This will include at least one weekend day (unless you are a glittery unicorn that really, really wants to work Saturdays AND Sundays, which we would be happy to accommodate).  Duties will include:

• Maintaining medical records. 

• Preparing for and performing procedures and treatments. 

• Preparing medications and prescriptions.

• Communicating in person and on the phone with clients. 

• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

• Assisting in procedures.

• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets.

• Assisting in other areas of the hospital, as needed.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $20 to $28 per hour.
