🐾 Seeking Experienced Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our team at East York Veterinary Center 🐾

• Location: East York Veterinary Center – York, PA
• Schedule: Full-Time
  • Teammates are expected to work every other or every third Saturday based on hospital scheduling needs
  • One Sunday shift is also required and will be scheduled during the same weekend as the Saturday shift
• Requirement: Experienced Veterinary Technician experience required
• Compensation:
  • $15.00-$20.00/hour Compensation based on experience, credentials, and skillset

A Day in the Life

• Assist veterinarians with patient exams, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia and vital signs during procedures
• Provide attentive nursing care for hospitalized patients including monitoring, medication administration, and treatments
• Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, and support fluid therapy
• Operate diagnostic equipment including digital radiography and in-house laboratory analyzers
• Support dental procedures including anesthesia monitoring and dental radiography
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
• Collaborate with a team that values your skills, input, and growth

Skills & Requirements

• Previous veterinary technician experience required
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred but not required
• Strong technical and clinical skills including patient care and anesthesia monitoring preferred
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for patient care and continuous learning
• Fear Free or low stress handling experience is a plus
