Our teams work in modern facilities with digital radiology, a full surgical suite, reference lab, and digital record keeping. At THRIVE Affordable Vet Care, the veterinary technician provides an exceptional patient care and customer experience, from the moment the client checks-in, to when they transition the patient to the veterinarian, through the complete and accurate discharge of the patient from the hospital. The veterinary technician will complete that experience when the client is leaving with client education, a “Thank You,” and a warm smile. 

We are looking for veterinary technicians and assistants with the following traits:

• 2 or more years of direct patient care experience, CVT/LVT/RVT preferred
• Competency in collecting a patient’s history and vitals
• Superb client education skills on preventive care
• Solid venipuncture, IV-catheter, and injection administration skills
• Ability to set up, position, and take digital radiographs
• Comfortable collecting, setting up, and interpreting of in-house laboratory and cytology tests
• Competency in anesthetic monitoring and assisting in surgical procedures
• Competency in performing dental prophylaxis
• Team player and willingness to cross train in all areas of a general practice
• Self-driven accountability for learning
• Positive attitude and drama free
• Conflict resolution skills
• Self-starter
• Weekend availability
