About us:  

Animal Emergency of Gainesville is a trusted after-hours and emergency veterinary hospital dedicated to providing urgent, compassionate care when pets need it most. Their experienced team is equipped to handle a wide range of critical situations, offering advanced diagnostics, treatment, and monitoring in a supportive environment. Known for their strong collaboration with local general practices, they play an important role in ensuring continuity of care for pets and peace of mind for their owners.

We are looking for a part-time experienced technician who enjoys the fast-pace of emergency care and doesn't mind working overnights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications 

  • Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant. 

  • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements. 

  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required. 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. 

  • Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. 

  • Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records. 

  • Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
