Housekeeping – VCA Aurora Animal Hospital
 

VCA Aurora Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Associate to join our team! Our hospital provides top-tier veterinary care, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment is essential for our patients, clients, and staff.

Location:  2600 W Galena Blvd, Aurora, IL 60506

Schedule: Full-Time, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 12:30pm-9:00pm

Compensation: $16-$18/hour

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of hospital facilities, including exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and public spaces
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
• Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding hospital linens
• Assist with waste disposal and biohazard management following safety protocols
• Restock cleaning supplies and report inventory needs
• Follow all hospital infection control and safety guidelines

What We’re Looking For:

• Comfortable around animals. This role requires working in an environment with animals of various sizes and temperaments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable in a fast-paced veterinary environment
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus but not required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and moving equipment
