• Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm

Our Vehicle Examiners play a vital role in ensuring our fleet meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and reliability, keeping our customers moving every day. We’re looking for a detail-focused and knowledgeable Vehicle Examiner to join our engineering team at our Oldham depot. As our fleet continues to evolve, including hybrid and electric vehicles, you’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards and supporting our modern, safety-first operation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out thorough safety inspections and statutory vehicle examinations in line with DVSA standards
• Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects, ensuring timely resolution
• Ensuring all maintenance and inspection records are completed accurately and meet compliance requirements
• Supporting MOT preparation and audit readiness across the depot
• Liaising with Technicians and Workshop leadership to ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest standard
• Monitoring fleet compliance and supporting continuous improvement in safety and reliability
• Promoting a strong safety culture across the depot, leading by example

What we’re looking for:

• A qualified technician with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in PSV, HGV, or automotive engineering
• Proven experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance, or compliance roles (PSV/HGV preferred)
• Strong knowledge of DVSA standards and vehicle safety regulations
• High attention to detail with a proactive, safety-first mindset
• Confident in record-keeping and compliance documentation
• A team player with strong communication skills
• A full UK driving licence
