VAT Analyst

 

About the Role

We are looking for a VAT Analyst to join our new EMEA VAT Compliance Centre of Excellence in Warsaw. This role will be key in ensuring timely and accurate VAT compliance across multiple EMEA countries, while also supporting the implementation and testing of SAP DRC, our future VAT compliance technology.

You will collaborate with internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities, gaining hands-on experience with VAT reporting processes in an international and dynamic environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review VAT returns, Intrastat reports, EC Sales Lists, and other indirect tax filings.
  • Support VAT reconciliations, refund claims, and audits.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and help improve compliance processes.
  • Assist in automation and standardization of VAT reporting (SAP DRC & ERP systems).
  • Act as a contact point for finance, AP/AR teams, and external advisors.
  • Contribute to creating documentation, SOPs, and training for the new Centre of Excellence.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of VAT compliance experience (multinational/shared service environment preferred).
  • Knowledge of European VAT regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.); SAP DRC, Vertex is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English (Polish or another European language is a plus).
