Validation Manager - Product Engineering

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Validation Manager – Product Engineering. The incumbent will Manage the Validation function for New Product Developments, focusing on performance and functional testing. This role will develop and improve methods for validating Aggreko products against specifications. The incumbent will also serve as the technical authority for the validation process, results analysis, and team escalation.

What you’ll do:

• Lead Product Validation: Take ownership of the validation function for new and existing products to enhance performance, quality, and meet market needs.

• Manage Validation Department: Oversee Validation and Development Test Engineering teams, manage KPIs, continuous improvement initiatives, and departmental budgets.

• Develop Validation Methods: Design and continuously improve new methods for validating components, sub-systems, and final products against design specifications.

• Drive Project & Strategy: Agree on general approach, priorities, and milestones, then plan and execute projects to meet specifications, budget, and timelines, contributing to product strategy.

• Provide Technical Authority: Serve as the technical expert for validation techniques, statistical data analysis, and offer escalation support to manufacturing, test, and regional teams.

• Ensure Compliance & Quality: Guarantee product development and design adhere to company engineering standards and best practices, including working with suppliers on validation plans.

You are:

• Education & Core Experience: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with significant 10+ years' experience in design, development, or product validation.

• Technical & Analytical Prowess: Proven analytical and systems thinking skills to develop real-world test methods, coupled with strong diagnostic abilities and technical integrity.

• Project & Commercial Acumen: Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, delivering within specification, budget, and timeline, while understanding engineering processes and commercial constraints.

• Resilience & Adaptability: Driven for results, capable of working under pressure, organized, and flexible enough to manage fluctuating workloads and changing priorities.

• Leadership & Communication: Ambitious and driven, with strong communication skills, initiative, and the ability to foster teamwork and take ownership.
