About the role
- Rapidly assess and inspect utility poles, power lines, and related infrastructure after natural disasters. Identify damage, report hazards, and support restoration crews to safely and efficiently restore power.
- Emergency response work in challenging, post-storm conditions.
- Potentially long, irregular hours including nights and weekends.
What you'll do
- Inspect poles, lines, transformers for storm damage.
- Identify and report safety hazards such as downed wires or leaning poles.
- Document conditions using mobile devices and GPS.
- Communicate findings to restoration teams for prioritized repairs.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required protective gear.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather and difficult terrain.
- Knowledge of utility infrastructure preferred.
- Physical ability to walk over debris, climb poles, and work long shifts.
