Job description

A contract role in our US immigration law firm – Vialto Law LLP – will provide you with the opportunity to help multinational clients adopt a more strategic, holistic and employee-centered approach to delivering US immigration legal services. You will collaborate with a team of US attorneys and business immigration analysts in a dynamic and fast-paced, high-volume work environment, supported by our firm’s affiliation with Vialto Partners, the world's first tech-enabled, people-first, global mobility company focused on cross-border compliance and risk assessment for immigration, tax, business travel, rewards and compensation, and remote work.  

With care, efficiency and empathy, you will engage in the end-to-end process of applying for and securing US employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, petitions and benefits. You will also assist in providing strategic advice and counsel to both employers and employees to help our clients gain maximum value from their immigration and mobility strategies.

What You’ll Create and Do


As a U.S. Immigration Attorney (Contract Role), you will be part of a collaborative team supporting large and emerging companies and their noncitizen employees and family members. You’ll focus on preparing timely immigration-benefits requests and providing strategic counsel to navigate complex business and immigration challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and file employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including PERM applications and adjustment of status requests.

  • Develop and implement immigration strategies to support business goals and minimize compliance risks.

  • Monitor and analyze changes in immigration laws, regulations, policies, and industry trends.

  • Leverage technology and automation to enhance service delivery and improve the client experience.

  • Apply feedback and reflection to strengthen self-awareness and professional growth.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and an ability to organize and resolve complex, unstructured issues.

  • Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to analyze industry trends and derive meaningful insights.

  • Make informed decisions using public and proprietary data, regulatory updates, and benchmarking.

  • Communicate clearly and persuasively with clients and team members, adapting messaging to the audience.

  • Maintain high ethical standards and uphold the firm’s code of conduct.
     

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state or the District of Columbia.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business immigration law, with a focus on H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, employment-based immigrant visa petitions, and adjustment of status applications.

  • A strong interest in upskilling for a digital world and embracing technology-driven innovations, with a willingness to learn new tools and explore modern approaches to delivering U.S. immigration legal services.

  • Enthusiasm for contributing to large, collaborative teams focused on leveraging innovation and technology to elevate the client experience.
