Underwater Target MK-30 Battery Shop Leader

Amentum is seeking an Underwater Target MK-30 Battery Shop Leader to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. The Underwater Target MK-30 Battery Shop Leader is responsible for leading personnel performing detailed testing procedures, repairs, modifications, preventative maintenance, and final testing of the MK-30 Underwater Target Battery Systems. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Supervise the assembly, activation, charging, scraping and record maintenance of the MK-30 target batteries so that sufficient quantities are available to support the AUTEC mission to the Fleet
• Disassembles components and reassemble per NAVSEA instructions.
• Repairs circuit wiring and replace faulty components as required
• Supervise technicians in authorized modifications, preventative maintenance, and final testing of equipment supporting the MK-30 Target Battery
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Five (5) years electronics technology experience
• MK-30 Target Theory of Operations and Crane Operators Overhead Cat 3 certifications preferred.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite products, with an emphasis on word processing.
• Digital analog troubleshooting skills required.
• Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds of material or equipment.
• Pass a yearly physical as required.
• Analytically proficient in both mechanical and electronic arenas.
• Analytical skills to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
• Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiar with office equipment, such as fax machine and photocopier.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel programs.
• Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.
• Valid driver’s license and passport will be required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
