Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety during examinations
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best quality images
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order
- Review and evaluate images for technical quality and accuracy
- Document and report findings to radiologists and physicians
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on ultrasound equipment
- Stay current with advances in ultrasound technology and imaging techniques
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and discuss imaging results
Qualifications:
- Accredited Technologist training Program
- Current certification and registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT)
- State licensure (if applicable)
- AHA BLS
- Minimum of one year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and performing ultrasound procedures
- Knowledge of sonographic safety standards and practices
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Contract: Year-long assignment
- Hours of Performance: Duty hours will vary by position and location; however, typical duty hours are scheduled between 0700 -1700, Monday through Friday. Hours are subject to change and may include nights and weekends
- Detailed pay rates will be outlined in the initial interview phase
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk, stand, and bend for 6-8 hours per day
- Able to distinguish between basic colors
- Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers in stressful situations
- Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and undergo urine drug testing
- Advanced medical and anatomical skills
- Knowledge of general surgery practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
