ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is responsible for administering fiduciary accounts and serving as a relationship manager for client portfolios of moderate complexity. The Trust Officer provides wealth management guidance on standard planning matters, ensures compliance with governing documents and regulatory requirements, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a consistent client experience while contributing to business growth.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities.

  • Fiduciary Account Administration: Manages fiduciary accounts in accordance with governing documents, applicable laws, and organizational policies, ensuring alignment with client needs and fiduciary standards.
  • Account Oversight and Review: Reviews and interprets trust documents, monitors account activity, and ensures accuracy and completeness of transactions and account records.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serves as a primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, and advisors, responding to inquiries and supporting ongoing relationship needs.
  • Risk and Compliance Management: Ensures adherence to fiduciary, legal, and regulatory requirements, including proper documentation, account reviews, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Issue Resolution: Addresses client requests and account issues, including special distributions, fee inquiries, and account-related matters, escalating as needed.
  • Account Lifecycle Management: Oversees account openings and closings, ensuring proper documentation, asset transfers, and accurate classification of income and principal, while coordinating tax reporting activities.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Works with internal teams, external advisors, and centers of influence to support client needs and deliver fiduciary services.
  • Business Development Support: Contributes to new business development through referrals, participation with partners, and expansion of existing client relationships.
  • Process Improvement: Participates in initiatives to improve operational efficiency and enhance service delivery to clients.
  • Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team’s and the company’s mission.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7 years of experience in trust administration, fiduciary services, or related experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Qualified candidates will possess an intermediate degree of proficiency (typically from 7 years of work or practical experience), in: 

  • Fiduciary Knowledge: Understanding of trust administration principles, governing documents, and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ability to effectively manage client and advisor relationships.
  • Risk and Compliance Awareness: Knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor accounts, review transactions, and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Communication: Clear and professional interaction with clients, partners, and internal teams.

Total Base Pay Range 96,500.00 - 207,500.00 USD Annual

In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
