As a Trial Execution Technician, you'll play an important role in supporting research that helps evaluate pet food preferences while ensuring the highest standards of animal care and welfare.

What You'll Do

As a Trial Execution Technician, you'll provide exceptional care for our animals while supporting feeding trials and daily research operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide compassionate, attentive care for all animals.
  • Safely kennel and un-kennel dogs as needed.
  • Observe animal behavior and recognize signs of illness, stress, anxiety, or aggression, reporting concerns promptly.
  • Maintain clean, sanitized, organized, and odor-free animal enclosures.
  • Ensure all animals have continuous access to fresh water.
  • Exercise and socialize dogs and cats daily while following established enrichment and exercise programs.
  • Prepare and distribute food according to established feeding trial protocols.
  • Conduct feeding trials by preparing diets, collecting food intake data, weighing food, and accurately documenting results.
  • Weigh animals in accordance with veterinary guidelines and maintain accurate records.
  • Complete daily visual management boards and communicate important observations during team huddles.
  • Assist with inventory management and receive food shipments following established procedures.
  • Provide enrichment activities and assist with routine grooming according to established schedules.
  • Communicate observations and animal health concerns to management and veterinary staff.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company Safety Absolutes while identifying and reporting potential hazards.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for animal care and welfare.
  • Ability to work safely while following established procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable handling and socializing dogs off leash.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Food Science, Animal Nutrition, Biology, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of animal care experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience recognizing animal health or behavioral concerns.

Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Four-week rotating schedule
  • Two weekends per month
