Job Summary

 

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a Travel Attending Physician to provide high-quality, on-site medical care across multiple skilled nursing and long-term care facilities within an assigned region. This role is ideal for a physician who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable traveling to support clinical operations where coverage is needed.

As a Travel Attending Physician, you will serve as the primary medical provider for residents, ensuring continuity and excellence in care across various locations. You will work closely with dedicated Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs), as well as interdisciplinary care teams, to deliver comprehensive and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) within the assigned region to provide physician coverage and support
  • Act as the primary care provider for residents, overseeing medical management and treatment plans
  • Conduct routine and acute patient rounds, collaborating with NPs and PAs to assess and manage care
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses while managing chronic conditions
  • Ensure continuity of care during provider transitions or coverage gaps
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and facility staff regarding care plans and prognosis
  • Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and specialists to provide holistic care
  • Support and mentor advanced practice providers in delivering high-quality care

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related primary care specialty
  • Active and unrestricted medical license (or willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states, if applicable)
  • Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned region
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and teams
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
