POSITION: Transport Driver

LOCATION: Anchorage, Alaska

DAYS OFF: Sundays and Wednesdays

START TIME: 2:30 am to 3:30 am, depending on the day of the week

This position will be driving from Anchorage to Kenai round trip daily. 3-5 days a week all summer long and 2 days a week to Kenai during the winter. Trailers range from 30 ft. to 53 ft.

DUTIES:

• Operates single tractor trailers on a combination of inter-city routes and other distance destinations outside of the main bakery plant.
• Distribute bakery products to depot centers
• Reload trailers with empty transport racks to be returned to the main bakery plant.
• Inter-city destinations constitute short driving distances in contrast to longer destinations to depot
• center in outlying cities requiring 3 to 4 hour driving times.
• Related duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Class "A" CDL and excellent driving record.
• Minimum 2 years doubles driving experience.
• Flexible work schedule.
• Proven safe work and driving history.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather and varied temperature ranges, pushing/pulling from 70 to 500 loaded bakery racks per shift requiring up to 60 pounds of horizontal force to move, reaching, climbing, twisting, sitting and walking.
