NZ National Networks Limited
Apply to this jobJoin the Team Global Express Delivery Partners Team
At Team Global Express, our Delivery Partners team manages and supports an extensive national network of independent transport operators who play a critical role in delivering for our customers every day.
We're looking for a practical, curious and motivated professional to join our team. While experience in auditing or compliance is valuable, we're equally interested in candidates from transport operations, fleet management, logistics, safety or supervisory roles who are looking to broaden their skills and build a career in assurance, governance, operational performance and continuous improvement.
This is not a traditional audit role. It's an opportunity to work across a wide range of operational, commercial and compliance activities while helping strengthen one of Australia's largest transport networks.
About the Role
Reporting to the Freight Delivery Partner Manager, you'll work across a broad range of assurance, governance and improvement activities that support both our delivery partners and our internal operations.
No two days will look the same.
One day you might be auditing a delivery partner's compliance with NHVR accreditation, Chain of Responsibility obligations or safety requirements. The next, you could be reviewing an internal payment assurance process in a depot or banch, validating operational controls, analysing performance data, supporting an investigation, or identifying opportunities to improve how we work.
You'll work closely with delivery partners, operational leaders and support functions across the business to identify risks, strengthen controls, improve processes and drive better outcomes.
Most importantly, this role isn't just about auditing.
It's about improving relationships with suppliers, safeguarding our operational teams, strengthening governance and contributing to safer, more compliant and more sustainable outcomes across the transport industry.
What You'll Do
- Conduct operational, compliance and assurance reviews across delivery partner and internal business processes
- Assess compliance with regulatory, contractual and operational requirements
- Identify risks, control gaps and improvement opportunities
- Support investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action programs
- Analyse operational, safety and compliance data to identify trends and insights
- Build strong relationships with delivery partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the network
- Support projects focused on automation, digital capability and smarter ways of working
- Help strengthen safety, compliance and operational performance outcomes
What We're Looking For
We're less interested in finding the "perfect auditor" and more interested in finding someone with the right mindset, capability and curiosity.
You may come from:
- Transport Operations
- Fleet Management
- Transport Supervision
- Logistics or Supply Chain
- Safety or Risk
- Data driven
- Governance or Compliance
- Operational Leadership
You'll bring:
- Experience in a transport, logistics, operational, safety, compliance or related environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A practical, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
- Confidence working with systems, reporting and operational data
- Strong attention to detail and personal accountability
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Willingness to travel regionally as required
We'd Be Particularly Excited If You Have
- Experience using data to drive operational performance and decision-making
- Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot or similar technologies
- Experience developing automated workflows, dashboards or reporting solutions
- Coding capability or a demonstrated ability to leverage technology to solve business problems
- Experience applying AI or automation tools to improve efficiency, visibility or compliance outcomes
- A passion for challenging traditional ways of working and finding smarter solutions
Why Join Team Global Express?
