Transplant APP needed at The Liver Institute in Dallas

Methodist Medical Group (MMG) a premier physician-led organization affiliated with Methodist Health System (MHS) in Dallas, Texas, is actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join The Liver Institute at our flagship campus in Dallas, TX to work collaboratively with our team of physicians.

This position is ideal for a motivated, compassionate provider to provide comprehensive care for patients who are in need of a liver transplant.

This outpatient position will focus on surgical support, pre- and post-operative management, patient education, and continuity of care. The APP will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes and supporting the overall growth of our transplant team.

Position Highlights:

  • Full time position to provide outpatient care under physician supervision, including new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and post-operative management
  • Manage patient care plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide patient/family education
  • Collaborate closely with transplant surgeons, nursing staff, and other care team members to optimize patient outcomes
  • Monday – Friday, 8a-5p
  • No call/weekends

Required Qualifications:

  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Texas
  • Active Texas medical license
  • Bilingual preferred, but not required
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years of in a complex environment: ICU, Transplant/Transplant floor, multi specialty experience
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
