Transmission Line Design Engineer (PLS-CADD)

In total, we have multinational staff of more than 500 working in Transmission & Distribution (T&D) field around the world.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transmission Line Design Engineer with experience in PLS-CADD to join our growing power transmission engineering team. The successful candidate will support the design and engineering of overhead transmission lines for utility and renewable energy projects across domestic and international markets.

This role offers opportunities to work on projects from concept through detailed engineering while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic engineering environment.

• Develop overhead transmission line designs using PLS-CADD.
• Perform line routing, profile development, and plan & profile drawing preparation.
• Conduct sag-tension calculations and optimize conductor clearances.
• Analyze line geometry considering terrain, environmental constraints, and regulatory requirements.
• Generate construction staking reports, material quantities, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with tower, foundation, survey, and geotechnical engineering teams.
• Review transmission line layouts for constructability and compliance with applicable standards.
• Support design reviews, quality assurance, and engineering documentation.
• Assist in resolving technical issues during detailed engineering and construction.
• Participate in client meetings and interdisciplinary project coordination.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5-15 years of experience in overhead transmission line engineering.
• Hands-on experience using PLS-CADD for transmission line design.
• Experience with projects ranging from 69 kV to 500 kV (or applicable voltage levels).
• Strong understanding of transmission line engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in international project teams.
