Training Officer (Scheduled Mine)

Our client is one of the world's important diamond mines and South Africa's second largest diamond operation by production.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the application of the full training cycle in the Mining Discipline.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Train and assess Learners according to the legal requirements and satisfaction of the NQF & MQA directives
• Do needs analysis, conduct training interventions and evaluate learners performance
• Produce and maintain effective training results
• Implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001: 2008
• Coordinate and control all aspects of training courses
• Develop and present mining training courses
• Maintain safety standards with compliance to the Company safety programme

Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 or NQF level 3 equivalent qualification
• Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines
• Registered Assessor or studying towards becoming an Assessor
• 3 years’ experience as Miner or Shift Boss
• 2 years’ experience in a Training Discipline
• Proficient in MS Office
• Valid Driver’s license
