Overview

The Rail Infrastructure team completes designs, studies, inspections and construction support for large and small railway projects across Canada and beyond. We collaborate with other engineering disciplines such as geotechnical, structural and electrical engineers, as well as other professionals such as surveyors and architects, to deliver coordinated and integrated designs for alignment, track details and adjacent infrastructure.

Your role

  • Perform track alignment and geometric layout design for rail infrastructure projects.

  • Conduct ride quality analysis and optimization to improve system performance.

  • Support trackwork design and prepare detailed engineering drawings.

  • Complete quantity take-offs and contribute to cost estimating activities.

  • Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and documentation.

  • Analyze as-built survey data to support project accuracy and validation.

  • Provide design support during construction to ensure project execution.

  • Participate in bid efforts and project coordination as related to your area(s) of expertise.

  • Attend the office at minimum 2 days per week; occasionally attend meetings in the eastern time zone (Montreal/Toronto) from BC

About you

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science/Engineering

  • 0-1 year of relevant work experience

  • Engineer-in-Training designation with EGBC or eligibility to become a member.

  • Interest in learning and trying new things; interest in railway and track design, construction and operation.

  • Strong communication skills.

Expected compensation for this role is between $61,900 - $80,000) Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
