 Your future Team:

Your will be joining an Embedded Team as a Tooling Design Engineer / Senior Mechanical Designer.  You will be responsible for performing full lifecycle engineering activities across a range of engineering projects which will form part of the submarineโ€™s new build and development programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Designing tooling, jigs fixtures and components that meet customer requirements

 ๐Ÿ“ Produce outline designs

๐Ÿ”ง Identify, formulate, and produce solutions to emerging problems

 ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Evaluate final productโ€™s overall performance, reliability, and safety

 โœ๏ธ Alter and modify design to meet requirements customer requirements

๐Ÿ’ท Estimate budget and scope of project

โš ๏ธ Management of Risk and Opportunity

๐Ÿ“„ Prepare product reports and documentation

๐Ÿ“˜ Experience in similar roles with specific emphasis (but not limited to) Valves, Pressure Vessel, Structural, Tooling or Lifting Equipment Design.

โš™๏ธ Proven working experience in mechanical engineering

๐Ÿ“ Understanding of relevant design codes and safety legislation

 ๐Ÿงญ Ability to define budgets/work programmes for complete design project lifecycles e.g., requirements capture, concept design and detailed design.

๐Ÿงช knowledge of materials

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar)

๐Ÿ“ฆ Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcentre or similar)
