We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and flexible Art Teacher to join our team as a maternity leave replacement. The Art Teacher will work with students across multiple age groups and ability levels, adapting lessons to meet individual needs while fostering creativity, confidence, and self-expression through visual art.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

  • Experience working with children with special needs and/or autism strongly preferred

  • Understanding of sensory-sensitive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction

  • Strong classroom management skills with a calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate art lessons tailored to the students needs and developmental capacity

  • Adapt instruction and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles, sensory needs, and motor abilities

  • Create a supportive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to align art instruction with the school’s DIRFloortime® principles.

  • Maintain a safe and organized art classroom and manage supplies

  • Schedule: Monday, Thursday, Friday- 8-3:30, Tuesday, Wednesday- 8-4:30

Compensation (from employer):
Bachelors Degree: Estimated Salary Range $57K – $65K
Masters Degree: Estimated Salary Range $75K – $88K
