<undefined>The tutor is primarily responsible for encouraging self-directed learning and development in each student. To do this, a tutor assists students in understanding their coursework. This may require the tutor to help clarify a concept or give a clear explanation of an assignment. The tutor is not expected to correct student papers or make revisions, but rather to provide clarifying comments and guidance on the writing process. English tutors are asked to visit classes at the start of each semester to introduce themselves and make students aware of tutoring resources. They may also be asked to attend English classes or other college events to promote tutoring services. They may also be asked to coordinate and present workshops to assist with just-in-time learning.</undefined><undefined>&nbsp;Additional tasks may also be assigned by the director.
