Job description

FMC is searching for talented, self-motivated logistics professionals to work in a free-thinking culture creating the next gen premium entry EVs with the highest autonomous technologies at our Santa Clara, CA facility.

1. Lead the definition, prototyping and development of telematics components

2. Manage the technical feasibility of telematics components

3. Lead the technical relationship with Mobile Network Operators

4. Responsible for the platform architecture, applications architecture and interfaces

5. Manage the modularity and upgradability of the system

6. Overview the development of software modules

7. Manage the test campaigns in multiple continents

8. Deliver outstanding requirements, system definition, implementation, testing and debugging strategy

9. Lead a team of engineers, both in-house and at the suppliers to deliver innovative technical solutions within required cost, quality and time targets

10. Overview of certification process with every region’s regulatory agency (FCC, PTCRB, CE, GCF, CCC, etc) and MNOs

11. Have a strong focus on reliability and only deliver optimized features

12. Stay on top of technology innovation in the connectivity field and design future solutions

  • Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experience on connected car and telematics projects
  • Experience in telematics systems hardware and software architectures
  • Experience in GNSS, Automotive Wifi, Bluetooth oriented developments
  • Mobile network operators management
  • Experience in NB IoT, V2X
  • Experience in Automotive Ethernet
  • Strong specifications record
  • Strong ability to drive results from empirical data
  • Project and team management skills
  • Strong motivation for technology oriented products
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural and inter-disciplinary team across different time zones

APPRECIATED OTHERS SKILLS 

  • Other languages (Chinese, German, French…)
  • Automotive Linux
  • Experience in AGILE, SCRUM
  • Experience in antennas systems
