Purpose of Job:

• Perform Technical Publications for Projects and Subsystems across Wabtec Sites both in German and English

Hierarchy:

• Structurally reporting to RAMS and TechPub Manager in Wabtec India- Bangalore

Network and Links:

• Design Teams

• Systems Team

• Tender and Project teams

• Engineering

Mission:

• Technical Publications for Projects/Subsystrems during projects in German and English

• Customer satisfaction

Eligibility Criteria:

• Education qualification: Engineering – Mechanical Engineering

• Years of Experience: 1 to 4 years

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Diploma / Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a good academic record

• Proficient in German Language to carry project discussions with German teams of Wabtec

• Fluent in technical writing, reading and communication skills in German, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, Technical Specifications, other engineering data related to components and systems maintenanc.

• Partcicapate in discussions with German teams and implement the Technical Publications in German and English (as required)

• Good understanding of system / component overhaul and maintenance techniques. Understanding of product disassembly / assembly techniques.

• Must be able to transform the engineering content into an effective maintenance instruction.

• Experience in Authoring and Illustration tools like Adobe illustrator, ISO Draw, Tech Illustrator, Adobe Frame maker and Adobe Professional

• Familiar with CAD Tools (CATIA, CREO, SolidWorks etc ) and no design skills are required, but, able to use these tools in order to understand the customer supplied inputs

• Good knowledge on ATA/S1000D standards related to illustrations

• Able to provide quick estimates on different types of Technical Publications actiivties

• Highly motivated, self-confident individual; priority and schedule sensitive

• Good oral / written communication skill, English and German proficiency
