The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and managing technical documentation, including user guides, system manuals, and compliance reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating technical documents such as design specifications, diagrams, manuals, white papers, flowcharts, and reports.

• Translate technical details from technical experts into clear documentation for the intended audience.

• Coordinating graphics and overseeing document production to ensure visual appeal and informativeness.

• Ensures all content meets high standards for technical accuracy, grammar, punctuation, readability, and formatting.

• Develop comprehensive technical documentation for software applications, security policies, and system architectures.

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation.

• Ensure compliance with Section 508 and federal accessibility guidelines.

• Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and business analysts.

• Maintain version-controlled documentation in Confluence, SharePoint, or Git.

• Conduct periodic reviews to keep documentation up to date.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, Cybersecurity, or related field.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience collaborating with developers, testers, analysts, and other technical experts to create and deliver concise and effective technical documentation for application support activities.

• Proficiency in Markdown, XML, Adobe FrameMaker, and MS Office Suite.

• Experience working with government contracts and security documentation.

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Employment Type:

• Full Time, Hybrid – Must be able to report on-site at client’s location, as required. 

Security Clearance:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Active MBI Clearance preferred.

• US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident required.

Salary range: $81,000 - $98,000 per year
