Technical Writer role is located within BPO Payroll Projects & Systems Team but Technical Writer would work with the customer as well as with all IBM Krakow Payroll teams as necessary to:

  • maintain existing and newly developed payroll knowledge management documentation (DTPs, training materials, HD scenarios, entity factbook) in dedicated database
  • maintain existing and newly developed payroll content in the help center tools
  • maintain related reporting and dashboards


Scope of responsibilities:

  • Draft, proofread, edit & publish high-quality content across multiple online help centers
  • Work with multiple stakeholders across different teams and locations to extract information to translate into usable help center content
  • Research and gather technical and background information to include in the documentation
  • Write DTPs and all other process description content
  • Write communication and training content (including contributions to training delivery) to support change management process
  • Validate content by collecting feedback from users and SMEs to ensure completeness & accuracy
  • Own the maintenance of the content across multiple online help centers
  • Manage the requests to update content
  • Execute the changes of content as per the defined process
  • Prepare and maintain reports and dashboards, analyse help center usage statistics
  • Monitor, learn and evaluate software developments and the potential impact to help centers
  • Continuous improvement of help center design & navigation functionalities
     
  • Intermediate  HTML
  • Intermediate Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Outstanding writing, editing & proofreading English ability
  • Ability to evaluate content / UX
  • Capable of managing multiple, competing priorities within tight deadlines while ensuring that quality standards are met
  • Ability to explain complicated processes in clear and simplified English
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
