As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Manage development of Pixel hardware products and drive the overall execution of the team.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to meet schedule, system build milestones, cost, quality and manufacturability.
  • Drive product development processes and phase gate reviews with the cross-functional teams.
  • Lead resolution on key technical issues and communication of project status to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Interface between joint development partners and cross functional Engineering and Operation teams.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing consumer electronics system engineering.
  • Experience across all phases of hardware product development from prototype to mass production.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with consumer electronics and shipping products.
  • Knowledge of product life cycle, tools, processes and development planning.
  • Ability to lead technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors against plans.
  • Ability to take initiative and drive several tasks at once.
  • Passion for improving processes and plans.
