SUMMARY

Acme’s Product Analytics technical team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to own our Product Instrumentation team. As a Technical Program Manager at Acme, you will lead complex and cross team programs for the establishing the vision and technology along with our software engineers and business stakeholders. The Product Instrumentation team owns a full stack effort, interfacing with our Acme client applications to instrument them and our backend systems to model and augment what we collect. As a Program Manager, you will empower the creativity of the team to deliver solutions with a sprint focus and unblock any hurdles. You will work with Product Owners to empower them to ask questions of their client applications and systems by collecting the right signals to model user interaction and consumption The right person for this role has a strong focus on understanding business expectations and requirements, sets a high bar for themselves, likes to solve problems, and is tenacious when developing and instituting new processes and influencing adoption across technology and business. This person should be intellectually curious and an innovator. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with client app development teams to integrate instrumentation into key user scenarios.
  • Support Product Management in defining requirements for data collection and analysis.
  • Act as scrum-master, running sprint planning meetings, retrospectives, backlog groomings, etc.
  • Work with engineering, business stakeholders and product to translate specifications to metrics/reporting requirements resulting in comprehensive execution plans
  • Run cross-functional team meetings efficiently and connect the dots to anticipate metrics and reporting needs.
  • Know when to push back, challenge an idea, and seek out compromise, and do so positively and for the benefit of the company in the interest of getting value to market quickly
  • Communicate with team members regarding the delivery status, dependencies, and risks against agreed

WHAT TO BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile software development and leading scrum rituals using JIRA or similar tools.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively with people distributed across geographical locations.
  • Good interpersonal skill and effective written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical skills and passion about answering questions with data.
  • Nice to have: Experience in Data Collection and Analytics with tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Keen IO.
