Position Summary 

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to lead the development and lifecycle management of key Power Conversion products. This individual will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of power electronics, wire management, and electrical interconnect systems that seamlessly integrate with Nextracker’s solar tracker platforms. 

The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of electrical systems and product development, strong cross-functional leadership, and a data-driven approach to product decisions. This role is both strategic and hands-on, bridging engineering, manufacturing, and customer success functions. 

 

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do… 

  • Define and drive controls and firmware roadmap for inverter/power conversion products. 

  • Translate system-level requirements into detailed firmware/control specifications  

  • Ensure compliance with grid standards and regional regulations. 

  • Own requirements for communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, WebUI, GPS clock) and predictive analytics readiness. 

  • Support lab and field validation of control features, performance testing, and firmware release cycles. 

  • Collaborate with customers and field teams to capture feedback and improve strategies. 

  • Define KPIs for inverter control performance (efficiency, trip times, system uptime) 

  • Translate field performance data into insights to iterate and improve product designs. 

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across tracker, power electronics, and digital solutions teams to deliver cohesive system offerings. 

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on go-to-market strategies, value proposition articulation, and technical collateral. 

  • Support supplier qualification and manufacturing transitions as needed to scale production. 

 

Here is some of what you’ll need… 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with focus in Electrical Engineering  

  • 5+ years of experience with PV system design and applications. 

  • Good understanding of controls and electronics. 

  • Knowledge of UL & NEC compliance requirements  

  • Willingness to travel (<10% of time) 

 

Here are a few of our preferred experiences… 

  • Experience with PV+Storage applications 

  • Knowledge of grid codes and standards (IEEE1547, IEEE2800, etc) 

  • Experience resolving issues from the field, performing root cause analysis, and designing mitigations
