Your daily life
EQUANS are recruiting for an Asset Adoptions Engineer to join our Urban Energy Team, the role will be Hybrid between home and our office in Kings Yard, London. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package. EQUANS is the UK’s leader in developing and expanding sustainable communities through low carbon district energy schemes. The EQUANS District Energy team have over 30 years’ experience in developing, delivering, and operating large district energy networks.
Our schemes include:> Battersea Power Station (£8bn redevelopment project)> Edinburgh St James (£1bn redevelopment project)> Birmingham’s District Energy Scheme; the first 25 year energy supply agreement> 40-year concession providing heating, cooling and electricity at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
The successful candidate will form a key role within the Asset Adoption team, liaising closely with other departments within the organisation, the candidate will be part of a small team that works on the adoptions of new assets into the business and ensuring that all adopted asset meet EQUANS standards.This role will demand a good standard of technical, operational and systems experience. Understanding of the commissioning process, commercial and compliance elements of large-scale district energy schemes.
What will you deliver?
- Carrying out necessary due diligence on new and existing Energy Centres for EQUANS to operate as the Energy Service Company (ESCO)
- Review design, installation, and commissioning specifications
- Carry out site inspections and witnessing prior to adoption
- Meet with key stakeholders and clients to discuss issues and produce recommendations aimed at ensuring that sites operate safely, reliably and with a high degree of efficiency
- Support business development teams on tenders for new schemes
- Engage with operations teams for handover of new assets and feedback of operational issues
- Drive and maintain a high standards in Health and Safety
Your profile
- Motivated and professional engineer who wishes to commit to a role which will provide both opportunity and challenge
- Qualified to a minimum 2:1 degree level in Mechanical or equivalent Engineering Discipline or equivalent proven experience.
- Technical experience of the design, construction and operation of energy schemes/centres, heating and cooling systems, CHPs, boilers, utilities, etc…
- IOSH qualification an advantage
- Knowledge of the CIBSE, Electrical and UK regulatory Standards
- Excellent communication both verbal and written
- Experience liaising with stakeholders and clients directly
- Must be both positive and proactive when approaching all tasks
