About the Opportunity 

Amentum are recruiting for a Technical Lead to be responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of the Engineering and Technical projects in Japan, this role will be accountable to the Engineering Manager/Senior Programme Manager and will be hybrid based in Tokyo, Japan.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of the engineering, technical and safety scope in Japanese.

•  Lead face to face discussions with the Client in Japanese.

• Ensure the intent of international good practice from outside Japan related to engineering and technical topics is conveyed to the Client.

• Be a Role model for the behaviours and approach that supports the Client, and one that respects the Japanese culture.

•  Hold self and others accountable within the multi-discipline team.

•  Liaise with other Engineering leads to ensure the engineering delivery is coordinated with other projects.

• Ensure that the multi-discipline team can deliver any deliverables and discussions to a detailed technical level in both English and Japanese.

•  Support the translation and interpretation services, with technical translations.

• Provide local support in Japan, coordinating any support from the UK (Europe and US).

Here's What You'll Need

• Experience with Bachelor's degree.

• Relevant experience with Masters degree. 

• Usually has experience leading, mentoring, and/or delegating the work of others.

• Ability to communicate in English and Japanese is essential.
