Job Description

In your new role you will:
  • Design test structures for technology development and create Design-of-Experiments (DoE) to address specific technological challenges
  • Conduct hands-on electrical characterization of semiconductor devices in the lab, evaluating their performance in terms of DC, RF, and thermal behavior
  • Perform statistical analysis of manufacturing and laboratory data with respect to product and device performance, reliability, and process stability targets
  • Work closely with both internal manufacturing sites and external silicon foundry partners
  • Be an interface to various departments and functions such as process integration, reliability, layout, test, and product development engineers

Your Profile

As a Technical Expert for RF Wafer Technology and Devices, you commit yourself to the results of your own team and the company as a whole. Furthermore, you are open to new ideas and receptive to other ways of thinking or working. Lastly, you are able to quickly establish a successful cooperation.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A master’s degree in physics, electrical engineering or an equivalent field. A Ph.D. degree is beneficial
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in a high-tech research & development environment, ideally with a background in RF technology or semiconductor technology development
  • Solid understanding of the structure, principle of operation and characteristics of semiconductor devices, in particular transistors
  • Solid understanding of the processes for the manufacturing of integrated circuits
  • Ability to communicate effectively in cross-functional, multi-site and international teams; former international experience is an advantage
  • Open mind and willingness to learn and apply new methodologies
  • Hands-on experience in the following areas, which would be considered a strong plus:
    • Statistical and empirical data analysis with help of a scripting language such as R, Python, or MATLAB
    • Design and layout of semiconductor test structures or circuits
    • Working in a lab environment, performing DC and RF measurements on semiconductor devices or integrated circuits
    • Numerical simulation of semiconductor devices or circuits (using e.g. TCAD, HFSS, COMSOL, Spectre, Spice, ADS)
    • Usage of silicon foundry pdks
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and German
