Job description

SuperTokens builds open-source user authentication. For developers building apps that want users to be able to sign up for the app, they have to build the signup page and other user authentication functionality. SuperTokens offers that out of the box. We enable developers to focus on their core product and integrate user authentication in under 1 hour.

This is a part-time role.

Compensation- $100-$500 per content edit (varies with experience, location-based)

With an increasing volume of blog content being produced, we want to ensure that every article meets the highest quality standards. Currently, content review and editing responsibilities rest solely with one individual, who is also responsible for writing blogs. To maintain our content cadence without creating bottlenecks, we’re hiring a dedicated Technical Content Editor to streamline the review process and uphold the quality of our publications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Review & Editing: Edit and proofread articles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and structure.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all published content is accurate, clear, up-to-date, and aligned with our in-house style guidelines.

  • Technical Verification: Check supporting materials such as illustrations, captions, and technical examples for accuracy and relevance.

  • Alignment with Objectives: Maintain consistency in tone, style, and messaging to meet company objectives and appeal to the target audience.

  • Feedback & Collaboration: Work closely with writers to provide constructive feedback and ensure iterative improvements in content quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in writing, content editing, or proofreading (preferably technical content).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality control.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to think clearly and critically.

Why should you join us

  • We are flexible with working hours and time commitments. You can commit anything from 5 hours to 40 hours a week.

  • Our market is large - any webapp that requires login.

  • Working on open source, and getting paid for it!

  • We are backed by Y Combinator and have access to some of the best and smartest founders in the world.

  • Work remotely.

  • Our product is interesting in that it's not another mobile or web app. It will form a core infrastructure layer for our users.

  • We are solving a big pain point for most developers.

  • Get to learn about the most critical aspects of web app security.
