Job Description:

The Technical Accounting Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance and governance of the Company's accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal control requirements. This role oversees the periodic review and update of enterprise accounting documentation, collaborates with policy owners and key stakeholders across the organization, and monitors emerging accounting standards and regulatory developments to assess their impact on the business. In addition, the Technical Accounting Supervisor researches and analyzes complex accounting transactions, evaluates new accounting pronouncements, prepares technical accounting guidance and position papers, and supports financial reporting initiatives. The role serves as a subject matter expert on technical accounting matters, promoting consistent application of accounting policies and helping ensure the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of the Company's financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the governance, maintenance, and periodic review of enterprise accounting policies and procedures, ensuring documentation remains current, accurate, and compliant with established standards and governance requirements.
  • Coordinate with accounting policy owners and cross-functional stakeholders to review, update, approve, and communicate policy changes across the organization.
  • Research and analyze complex accounting transactions, business initiatives, and contractual arrangements to determine appropriate accounting treatment and reporting implications.
  • Evaluate and implement new accounting standards and pronouncements, including assessing operational impacts and facilitating adoption activities.
  • Prepare technical accounting memoranda and policy interpretations supporting significant transactions and accounting conclusions.
  • Support quarterly and annual financial reporting processes by assisting with technical accounting disclosures, SEC reporting requirements, and related documentation.
  • Ensure consistent application of accounting policies and accounting guidance across business units and functions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting policy governance, documentation processes, and reporting efficiency.
