Tech App Specialist (Eclipse Accounting)

Role Summary/Purpose:

We are seeking a Functional Application Support Analyst to provide functional and technical support for the Eclipse ERP platform, with a primary focus on accounting and finance modules. The role will act as a bridge between Finance, Accounting, and IT teams, ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of ERP applications supporting Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Financial Reporting processes.

The ideal candidate should possess strong ERP application support experience, accounting process knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to analyze business requirements and deliver effective system solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide support for Eclipse ERP finance and accounting modules.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues related to AP, AR, GL, and financial reporting.
• Monitor application performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Analyze and resolve customer reported incidents within defined SLAs.
• Support finance users on day-to-day ERP transactions and accounting processes.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.
• Troubleshoot posting, reconciliation, interface, and reporting issues.
• Validate financial data integrity across ERP modules and integrated systems.
• Support master data management, chart of accounts, and financial configurations.
• Analyze system logs, interfaces, batch jobs, and data transfer processes.
• Support data imports, exports, and reconciliation activities.
• Assist with system upgrades, patches, and release deployments.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain operational and financial reports.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Support testing activities for new functionality, enhancements, and upgrades.
• Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles. 
• Provide end-user training and guidance on ERP functionalities.
• Develop user manuals and support documentation.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with teams.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and financial reporting processes.
• Experience in ERP application configuration and support.
• Experience with incident management and ticketing systems.
• Familiarity with system testing, change management, and release processes.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial workflows.
• Understanding of month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience supporting financial reporting and reconciliation activities.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and propose system solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Customer-focused approach with strong service orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.

What you’ll Likely bring:

• Respond immediately to client calls in a professional manner and providing appropriate solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Additional certifications in ERP systems, finance applications, or database technologies are preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in ERP application support.
• Experience supporting finance/accounting modules within ERP environments.
• Hands-on experience with Eclipse ERP or similar ERP platforms.
• Experience working with Finance, Accounting, or Shared Services teams.

Shift Timings: 5:30pm-2:30am IST
