Team Lead / Manager: NOC Engineering

Overview:
- My client is establishing a NOC (Network Operations Center) team and is planning to hire 1 Lead NOC Engineer and 10 NOC Engineers.
- The team will handle all L1 and L2 support, including troubleshooting and managing service requests for cloud-based IT infrastructure.
- The Lead NOC Engineer will ensure NOC operations are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Role Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of 10 L1 and L2 NOC Engineers.
- Serve as a pioneer in the newly formed NOC department.
- Go beyond traditional network monitoring by utilizing AWS cloud services to enhance network monitoring capabilities.
- Gain exposure to new technologies in network monitoring, with company-provided training.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at automating and optimizing NOC operations for greater efficiency and effectiveness, beyond routine incident response.

Job Scope:
- Hire, mentor, and train NOC Engineers.
- Monitor systems and network services to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
- Track and manage incident reports.
- Oversee incident management and escalation processes, including reporting.

Must Have Qualifications:
- Experience with DNS management, including registration and renewal.
- Ability to manage WHOIS contacts and name servers.
- Basic experience with Linux systems.
- Familiarity with web servers, specifically Apache and NGINX.
- Basic knowledge of network and internet protocols.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Experience with AWS Cloud Services.

Nice to Have:
- ITIL certification or knowledge.
